Wellness Resort Žabče

Feasibility study, analysis and selection of location for hotel wellness complex Tolmin have been done.

Recently Tolmin municipality has been experiencing an increase of tourist visit. With such an increasing trend in the recent period it can be expected that accommodation capacities will no longer suffice to cover the tourists’ demand. There is also a problem of great seasonal fluctuations and lack of attractive offer of various programs and leisure activities for the guests as well as for the local people. On the basis of strategic guidelines written in develoment acts of Tolmin municipality, where tourism is one of the priority tasks of medium-term economic development in municipality, LTO Tolmin has organized a tender for study provider, whose task was to select location for hotel wellness complex near Tolmin. Hosting Consulting Company was chosen.

Two locations were available and after a thorough analysis of key indicators (municipal infractructure, accessibility, size of the land in connection to complex expansion possibilities, land ownership and expected price) the land in Žabče was selected. Complex location in Žabče study includes complex outline scheme, program structure and capacities, marketing plan and investment economy study. Client LTO Tolmin was given a document on whose basis the procedure of investment implementation will continue, namely with land acquisition, preparation of design documents for spatial and architectural solutions as well as investment program preparation. Organization model (public-private) of partnership for implementation of investment will also be formed, in whose framework Hosting will operate as development investor.
